Harrison Architects studio win the Allendale Estates Business Start up 2019

At Allendale Estates, we believe in the spirit of entrepreneurialism.  We are also only too aware that setting up a business from scratch is a huge challenge. So, in May 2019, we launched the inaugural Allendale Estates Business Start-up competition, open to any business less than 3 years old, offering 2 years’ free office space at our South Acomb site, plus mentoring from accountants, lawyers and marketing experts from within the Bywell Business Parks community.

By removing the financial burden of renting an office, while also providing an extraordinary array of mentoring from a diverse and brilliant group of business people, we hope to enable a new generation of entrepreneurs to flourish at Bywell: great for business; great for the community; and great for the North-East.

We are immensely proud to announce our first winner as HARRISON ARCHITECTS STUDIO. After working for one of the North East’s leading Architecture practices, the founder, Sarah Harrison, was encouraged to continue her ambitious plan to make design affordable, increasing the accessibility of design whilst creating sustainable architecture for the North East. In the words of the founder, “Architects do not have to be for the elite. It can be intimidating to call a large architecture company when looking to expand your home or to explore your idea for your new space. Harrison Architects Studio will create the opportunity to share your ideas and help you convert them to reality.”
